Dr. Wilton is the AI in Education cluster leader at the Digital Life Institute see https://www.digitallife.org/research-clusters/cluster/ai-in-education/ She developed and taught two of the first North American offerings of AI in Education and AI Ethics in Education to Graduate students in a Faculty of Education at OISE (University of Toronto). Vice Chair of IEEE SA P7015/D1 Working group for a Draft Standard of Data and AI Literacy, Skills and Readiness. Instructor, teacher, course developer, instructional designer, academic advisor and consultant with many years of experience in teaching, coaching and mentoring educators in developing and delivering professional development in teaching and learning with digital technology. Former certified Systems Engineer, IT Manager and Product Manager at Microsoft Canada. A recognized authority on the importance of effective technology in instruction. Has authored numerous papers that have been published in peer reviewed journals and at international conferences. An advocate for educational research and digital tools as a means to enhance learning in schools. Her current research looks at AI in education and AI Ethics.
